The EPC RECAST methodology & toolbox was presented at the Sixth Plenary Meeting of the Concerted Action on Energy Performance Buildings Directive (EPBD) on the 9th of December 2021, which is regularly organised between Member States to share experience and knowledge exchange on the implementation of the EPBD. EPC RECAST was invited by the representatives of Croatia under the session “Linking finance & EPCs for energy renovations with energy savings.”
The session was opened by representatives from the European Commission, DG ENER, and followed by presentations of our sister project IBROAD2EPC and EPC RECAST, both introducing innovative solutions on energy performance in buildings. Both projects participated in a panel discussion together with DG ENER.
In a timeslot of 15 minutes our project coordinator Olivier Greslou (CSTB) on how the EPC RECAST methodology aims to improve the reliability of EPCs and how it can help improve recommendations for renovations. It was explained on how EPC RECAST aims to improve the comparison of national/regional EPCs, how it introduces innovative data collection methods and extra quality checks to improve the reliability of EPCs.
